Grand Tour 2023: Monaco & the Maritime Alps

A French Riviera driving tour with Formula 1 World Champion Damon Hill, over legendary Alpine passes from the Côte d’Azur and through the Piedmont wine country, blending track time at the Circuito Internazionale di Busca with tastings, château visits and Riviera dining.

From the hills of Grasse to the Ligurian coast

From 21 to 25 May 2023, the Grand Tour journeyed from the hills of Grasse across iconic French balcony roads and soaring Alpine passes, before sweeping through the Langhe wine region to the Ligurian coast, just in time for the Monaco Grand Prix.

Guests started at Bastide Saint-Antoine in Grasse before tackling the Col de Bleine and the Clue de Saint-Auban, then climbing the Col de la Bonette, one of the highest paved roads in Europe at 2,715 metres and the highlight of this French Alps road trip. In the Barolo-producing Langhe, track time at the Circuito Internazionale di Busca sat alongside wine tastings and château visits. The tour finished at Hotel Parigi in Bordighera with a seafood feast, ready for race weekend in Monaco.
