Fine dining in the mountain refuges
The 2023 Gourmet Ski Experience brought two of London’s most acclaimed chefs to the refuges above Courmayeur, high on the Italian side of Mont Blanc.
Jean-Philippe Blondet, executive chef of the three-Michelin-starred Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, made his Gourmet Ski debut alongside Jonny Lake of the two-Michelin-starred Trivet, and formerly head chef at Heston Blumenthal’s The Fat Duck. Together they cooked across the mountain refuges, turning rustic Alpine huts into some of the most memorable dining rooms of the season, while guests spent their days skiing beneath Mont Blanc.
